Brett Favre to the Dolphins

Brett Favre, wearing a number four Miami Dolphins jersey? No effin’ way. I can’t even imagine him in any other jersey besides one that features the colors green and yellow. Favre will always be a Green Bay Packers guy, which obviously he’ll remain as the ‘Iron Man’ for the rest of his life — and posthumously, too.

As a Miami Dolphins fan, this rumor sounds too good to be true. Favre to the Dolphins. With Miami having better weather, averaging only about, say, half an inch a snow every 35 to 40 years, Favre should be looking at the Phins down South.

However, it’s a rumor. I don’t believe it. Too many writers are jizzing all over it with their own speculations. So, with that said, I highly doubt it.

Though, can you imagine the possibilities? The Dolphins lack an efficient receiving corps, but Favre could take them up to another notch on the receiving perch. Not to mention the refined offensive line that will be showcased this year, as well as a healthy, sure-to-play-well Ronnie Brown lining up as the running back.

That would be a fun season. Especially on Madden NFL’s fantasy season in franchise mode.

Brett Favre returning to the NFL as a Dolphin would ultimately benefit neither Brett nor the Dolphins. In a best case situation, Brett plays 2 years for the Dolphins, barely raises them above mediocrity and slightly tarnishes his legacy. In return, the Dolphins end up right where they started and will have to throw a new quarterback into the fire rather than having a young guy like Henne who’s had a couple years of experience under his belt and can be the quarterback of the future.

  2. The question I have surrounding the situation is this: Can Brett repeat last year’s season? If not, then I agree, it would be futile for him to come to the Dolphins. However, if he can play with the same intensity, fierce, skill, and competitiveness as he did last season, I say welcome aboard.

    Thanks for the comment, Dan.

THAT would be incredible if Favre ends up in Miami. We have suffered long enough without a GREAT quarterback.

  4. Tell me about it, Erik. I guess that us Dolphins fans just really want to win. I know I can vouch for that last sentence. It’s been a long time since that last playoff game we had against the Ravens.

I personally think the Packers will be horrible next season. I know they made the NFC championship game, but that was with favre. Who do the packers have??? grant, al harris, and jennings?? is that soo much better than what the dolphins have? If Favre plays for the dolphins i think they finish at 9-7 and afc wildcard. yea. he would make them that much better, just like he did with the mediocre packers all those years.
